An inspirational internal company lifestyle magazine… designed to not feel like an internal company magazine.

Involvement: Creative direction, launch strategy.
“Quarterly internal magazine” doesn’t sound very inspiring but when the creative team are called in to shake up the content, design, and launch… there was a lot more buzz around the office about the next issue!
The creative direction was set by the magazine’s tagline: by citizens, for citizens. Dry interviews with familiar board members were replaced with “a day in the life of” anyone with a cool job. Projections and graphs were replaced with the stories behind interesting partnerships or global campaigns. Interns, veterans, creative, finance, everyone was welcome to contribute. Visual direction easily followed: playful, curved, bright, surprising, off-set with and wrapped in the brand’s signature black.
The plain pile on the reception desk was upgraded to a vintage newspaper dispenser covered in stickers given away with the first issue.
