Bristol Packaged: Bandit Beer

Part of a series of packaging concepts inspired by my favourite Bristol Creative studios.

Client: Personal project.
Involvement: Creative direction and design.

What if the best creative studios in Bristol got together to create a beer brand? Bandit Beer is a concept inspired by the (well-intended) middle finger Bristol puts up to the perception that London is “where it’s at” for exceptional creative work.

The line “Outside the law, outside the M25” from Outlaw Creative’s description of their studio inspired a cheeky challenger craft beer brand proud to be pushing the norms of where you should be and what you should be doing. A sneaky, scribbling bandit gives a humorous, endearing edge to the rebellious messaging.

A simple, scratchy hand-drawn style was chosen to represent the graft and responsiveness of the Bristol creative scene. This little bandit knows how to get stuff done and shouldn’t be underestimated.
