Vitra had tired pieces of design-icon furniture in need of TLC and students from Glasgow School of Art had creative concepts of how to revive them. In honour of COP26, citizenM Hotels facilitated the project and brought the ideas to life.

The creative direction for the press shoot was to blend citizenM hotel interiors with a studio scene. Playing with true natural light (instead of blocking and neutralising it with studio lighting) gave the shots a more “homey” feel linking back to Vitra’s design philosophy “our environments shape our thoughts and feelings”.

The project was featured in publications such as Wallpaper, Dezeen, Art Rabbit and The Herald.
